Democracy International has extensive experience advising and providing assistance to civil society organizations throughout the world. We have also designed and directed scores of national advocacy campaigns in the United States. We have worked with nongovernmental organizations, advocacy organizations, university networks, and other civil society groups to organize national coalitions for election monitoring, election reform advocacy, and voter and civic education programs in nearly 50 countries. Beyond election monitoring and election-related programs, our experience ranges from managing multiyear issue campaigns on behalf of major trade associations in the U.S. to developing local anticorruption constituencies in Southeast Asia to advising efforts to promote human rights in Eastern Europe.
