Project Description

In 2006 Democracy International conducted a comprehensive assessment and evaluation of USAID anticorruption programs in Moldova, made programming recommendations to USAID/Moldova, and provided technical assistance to the government of Moldova. The assessment anaylzed the causes, dynamics, forms, and settings of corruption and evaluated the status, results, and impact of four USAID-funded programs. It considered the assistance environment in Moldova vis-à-vis anti-corruption activities and made recommendations for a comprehensive USAID anti-corruption strategy. The DI team provided technical assistance to the government in preparing its Millennium Challenge Corporation Threshold Country Plan.
