Abdulai Taylor Kamara

Program Management Officer I

Abdulai Taylor Kamara is a Program Management Officer for Democracy International, where he provides support to programs in South Sudan, Ethiopia and Uganda. Prior to DI, he worked as Program Officer at Transparency International Sierra Leone and as Youth and Livelihood Officer at Youth Action International Sierra Leone where he provided project management oversight for governance, elections, and anti-corruption and youth and women empowerment projects. In addition, Abdulai was Program Manager at Hartwood Foundation, an Award Management Fellow at Save the Children U.S., and an Economic Affairs intern at the United Nations ESCAP. Abdulai has experience in project management, gender equality and social inclusion analysis, political economy analysis, capacity building, MEL, business development, and research. Abdulai holds a B.Soc in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Sierra Leone, M.A. in Public Policy and Management from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and he is currently a final semester M.A. candidate in the International Development Studies program at the Elliott School, George Washington University, and he will be graduating in May, 2021.
