Abigail (Abby) Cohen is a Program Officer at Democracy International, providing support for field office teams in Bangladesh and El Salvador as well as supporting short-term analytical programs. Previously, Abby worked at Chemonics International as a Project Management Associate in the Latin America & Caribbean Region. Abby also served as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay, South America, where she worked as a Community Economic Development Specialist. During her two years in the Peace Corps, Abby’s work focused on youth leadership development, workforce capacity building, and community engagement. She received her B.A. in Economics and Hispanic Studies from Dartmouth College. She is fluent in Spanish.
