Nanda Lal Sutradhar

Deputy Chief of Party

Nanda Lal Sutradhar has 25 years of experience as a development practitioner and governance specialist facilitating NGO and civil society programs in the areas of anti-corruption and the promotion of transparent and ethical practices. Before joining DI’s Promoting Peace and Justice (PPJ) program as Deputy Chief of Party, Mr. Sutradhar worked as a Senior Manager for the National Center for State Courts (NCSC) with USAID’s Justice for All (JFA) Program in Bangladesh, where he formulated outreach mechanisms designed to foster opportunities for citizens seeking justice in the formal justice system. Before that, he worked on USAID’s Strengthening Democratic Local Governance (SDLG) project where he created media campaigns designed to empower citizens. Mr. Sutradhar he also managed capacity building efforts with Local Government Associations for USAID’s Promoting Governance, Accountability, Transparency, and Integrity Project (PROGATI) at Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI). Prior to working with USAID on governance projects, Mr. Sutradhar led numerous NGO advocacy campaigns to promote citizen and youth engagement, and human rights of vulnerable populations of women, children, and the disabled.

Mr. Sutradhar received a B.S.S. and an M.S.S. in Social Welfare from Dhaka University and a Postgraduate Diploma in NGO Leadership & Management from Global Partnership (SIT-USA, ORAP-Zimbabwe & BRAC).
