Chief of Party

Paul King is the Chief of Party in the Strengthening Parliament’s Role in Malawi’s Development Activity. He brings two decades of USAID experience working on Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance activities as well as Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning activities in Afghanistan, Haiti, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Uganda, and Zimbabwe as a Chief of Party and Deputy Chief of Party. Prior to working in USAID-funded activities, Mr. King worked for an Ottawa-based International NGO, the Forum of Federations, where he served as head of the Global Dialogue program that sought to bring practioners of federalism together to share best practices and worked in countries as diverse as Canada, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Mexico, and Nigeria. Mr. King also taught political science at a number of Canadian universities including the University of Victoria, King’s College, University of Ottawa, and McMaster University. He was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, raised in Ireland, and now resides in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
