Project Description
Democracy International conducted a strategic performance evaluation of USAID/Colombia’s Disengaged Child Soldiers and Youth at Risk of Recruitment Activity (CHS). DI examined whether the program has succeeded in reintegrating ex-combatant and at-risk youth and identified areas for program improvement. The team also examined how CHS aligned with the Colombian government’s programming. DI also provided recommendations about how the international community can more effectively prevent child soldier recruitment and improve reintegration efforts.
