Project Description

In 2015 Democracy International conducted a cross-sectoral conflict vulnerability assessment using USAID’s Conflict Assessment Framework (CAF 2.0) methodology to assess existing and potential conflict dynamics throughout all geographic regions and relevant development sectors of Zimbabwe. The assessment informed the broad strategic design of USAID/Zimbabwe’s Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS) for 2015-2020 as well as program design in the key development sectors identified by the Zimbabwe mission. The assessment also offered recommendations on conflict issues which USAID/Zimbabwe could positively impact and suggested programmatic approaches by which the mission could manage and mitigate these dynamics.
