During the three years of its implementation, the Timor-Leste Research Development Project (RDP) achieved all of the program’s objectives and several other key accomplishments. Key activities included technical assistance to organizations conducting 10 national surveys, assistance with 18 sectoral studies, and facilitation of trainings and mentoring sessions to more than 525 local researchers, academics, and NGO activists. The project exceeded all initial output targets, and received praise from both local and international development partners. The report summarizes RDP’s key accomplishments and also describes the challenges faced throughout implementation and lessons learned through the completion of the project. The report concludes with recommendations for future programming.
