Claire Robertson
Claire Robertson is the Director of Strategy & Outreach at Democracy International. In this role, she supports program design and proposal development across DI’s technical areas, including elections and political transitions, governance, peace and resilience, and learning. Prior to joining the Strategy & Outreach Team, Ms. Robertson supported DI’s learning work, designing and implementing evaluations, assessments, and special research projects across DI’s DRG portfolio. She also served as a Senior Program Officer supporting the global Civic Engagement and Governance Unit at World Learning, managing programs in Myanmar, Mongolia, Mexico, and Nigeria. Ms. Robertson served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ukraine, where she taught English as a Foreign Language and coordinated other language learning, community development, and health education projects.
Ms. Robertson earned her M.A. in Government, with a concentration in Democracy and Governance Studies, from Georgetown University. She also holds a B.A. in Political Science, with a concentration in International Relations, from the University of Pennsylvania.
