Sharene McKenzie

Technical Team Lead

Sharene McKenzie is a career development practitioner with more than 25 years’ experience designing and implementing activities in the areas of governance, community policing, youth & community development, alternative dispute resolution, cognitive behavior change, and gender based violence in Jamaica and the Caribbean region.

Currently, Ms. McKenzie is the Technical Team Lead on the USAID Positive Pathways Activity in Jamaica. She also served as Civil Society Specialist and Acting Chief of Party on the USAID COMET and MSI Strengthening Civil Society projects.

Ms. McKenzie is a member of the design & implementation team for the Government of Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) and CIDA’s Social Conflict and Legal Reform (SCLR) Projects and has designed and implemented transformative education and support programs for at-risk youths in vulnerable & volatile communities.

Ms. McKenzie is an Experience Subject Matter Expert, and has been part of several regional monitoring, evaluation & learning (MEL) teams including USAID’s Juvenile Justice Assessment Project conducted by Democracy International (DI) in 2011.
