Shema Mugabo is a Business Development Associate for Democracy International. Prior to joining DI, he worked at an education nonprofit organization in Washington D.C. supporting career exposure programming in schools throughout the United States. Mr. Mugabo also completed a year of service as an AmeriCorps Education Fellow in Newark, NJ and supported the vote-by-mail program at the Anne Arundel County Board of Elections during the 2020 general election. Mr. Mugabo is currently pursuing an M.A. in Political Science with a concentration in World Politics from George Washington University. During his studies, he has focused on issues of development and security in the Africa region. He received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
